Murdered: Soul Suspect

My Review:

The Good:

The story in the game is compelling. Playing as the ghost of a detective who is surprisingly cool. (I really liked him a lot, lol.) - trying to solve your own murder is an awesome concept!

You learn about Ronan life - who he once was, and who he has now become as a cop.

The graphics are okay - they aren't exactly next gen or even last gen. The controls are alright, with the exception of it not telling you how to jump as a cat. I spent a while figuring out it took two trigger buttons, lol.

The game is very much focused on investigation.

The Bad:

There's mechanics such as hide and go seek, which seriously pull you out of the mindset of being a detective.

The open world is very small and restrictive. In saying so, it kind of defeats the purpose of being a ghost. This goes the same for your powers. Your ghost powers are only multiple choice. You can either influence, read mind, listen, or peek. Some are required to push along a questline, but they don't really have much of an impact on the narrative.

The gameplay isn't interesting except for the occasional combat sequences.

The game is also glitchy, where I actually couldn't finish any of the side cases except for one. Most the cases don't require you to retrieve all the evidence. You just need the main ones.  And if those items are glitch - you're not finishing it, lol. I think what causes the glitch is when you reveal hidden items, they glitch through the items you're suppose to examine. So my advice is to resist the urge of collecting items in that area until the case is complete.

Overall: 6/10

Honestly the concept of the game was interesting, but it wasn't executed very well.

First Post!

Hey everybody. I have been getting some requests to start my own personal blog outside of Dark Guardian Blazerine. I'm not exactly sure what to post on here about myself, but... I would like to mention somebody I came across on Twitch.tv. A quadriplegic gamer who goes by the name of NoHandsKen. He's probably the nicest gamer on Twitch I have ever met. He actually plays games with his viewers. I got a chance to play Heroes of the Storm with him. It was pretty fun ;D
